Terry Donovan leaves Rockstar!

A representative with Take-Two Interactive today confirmed for GameSpot that Terry Donovan, managing director and cofounder of the publisher’s Rockstar Games label, has left the company. Donovan took a leave of absence from the company in September and then decided last month that he would not be returning, the representative said.

While Donovan was a cofounder of Rockstar, the representative said the studio would be able to carry on unhindered. Many of Donovan’s duties–which primarily dealt with publishing and marketing the company’s games–have already been accounted for, he said, as Take-Two last week announced that Capcom’s European managing director Gary Dale had been appointed as Rockstar’s COO.

“Rockstar is a very robust organization and has tremendous depth,” the representative said. “It has over 600 artists and developers, marketing people… Sam and Dan [Houser, also cofounders and producers of the Grand Theft Auto series] is the leadership now, along with Gary Dale. The roles have been filled.”

I don’t think this will effect GTA at all since Gary Dale oversaw the release of the first GTA. What do you think?

Getting Halo2 or Shadowrun for PC and…..

Getting Halo 2 or Shadowrun for PC and want to frag your friends that have a 360? Say no more because you can with Live anywhere! They didn’y say anything about these titles at the keynote but a nice little PR release confirms it!

“Microsoft also showed off Shadowrun (Microsoft Game Studios) and Halo 2 for Windows Vista (Microsoft Game Studios), the first of many titles that will enable gamers on Windows Vista to connect with their friends on Xbox 360 through the Live network.”

Now this press release could be wrong, but I’m hoping it’s true.

I’m posted this at Vista Blog but I’m going to post it here since it has to do with the 360 as well.

*Video Background: They showed Vista Ultimate with a video as a back ground.

*Picture Editing: They edited a picture with another version of the picture. They patched together a better version using the best stuff in both pictures.

*Live anywhere: They showed two people playing UNO online. One person with Vista and one with a 360.

*Xbox 360 IPTV: They showed IPTV on the 360. I don’t think they said if you have to get a new version of the 360 or not. It will be out holiday season 2007.

*Cooking with Bill Gates: Well not exactly but they showed something that reads RF-ID tags and gives you recipes the involve that product(s).

They showed more but I’ll wait untill I see them again. I might have some pictures and video clips later.

[EDIT: I would give you info on Windows Home Server but Microsoft cut off the demo because of intellectual property. Go figure.]

Nvidia drivers leak potential Gears of War for PC

Joystiq has found some references in new Nvidia drivers that reference to a possible port of Gears of War for PC. Now this doesn’t 100% confirm that Gears of War will be heading to PC, it just basically confirms that Epic is trying something.

We would have everything set up for you to go to but we have some payment problems that we are currently working out. I know our clan is on life support with the tube about to fall out but we are going to come back…..Stronger than before. Keep watching this space for the new domain! I would give out the domain now but until we work out the payment problems, the domain will not be registered.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories Launches Tomorrow!

Skip Trick or Treat because tomorrow the most anticipated PSP game will launch, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories! The firmware required is 2.81 but if you are on 1.5 or 2.71 SE-a or b you can play VCS via DevHook. All you do is choose what firmware version you want and then go into “other menu” then choose “UMD SFO VERSION”. In that menu, choose “2.xx to 2.00″. After that launch the firmware and start the UMD. Here are some pictures and videos from people that already have the game. (Lucky bastards!) Just before the Spoiler Warning is the third trailer

EA Games and Dice has released the Battlefield 2142 demo to select sites. We got a chance to play the beta and it was OK but not that great but 24 hours before other sites got the demo, we played it and it was AWESOME!! The graphics are AMAZING! The loading times are 20x FASTER than BF2! 2142 is also MUCH more stable than BF2. If you where able to run BF2 on your computer, you should be able to run 2142. Download the demo now and prepared to be wowed!
